Marlen vs. Tanima | FD5948

After viewing her match with Jane (FD 5866) and now this bout versus Tanima, the beautiful and courageous Marlen has become one of my favorite FD competitors. I love the energy, effort and fighting spirit she brings to her matches and hope to see her featured in many more FD wrestling (preferred format) videos in the future. Hard to believe but after 10 years and over 300 matches on the FD mats, this is the first bout I've viewed in which Tanima was one of the competitors. She made a very positive impression on me with her rough, physical style of wrestling/fighting. While watching this intense, at times rather emotional match, I got the sense that in the genre of pro wrestling Tanima with her rough house tactics (frequent hair pulling, hands to her opponent's face, pulling on Marlen's singlet thong to gain additional leverage and cause pain) along with her somewhat arrogant attitude would assume the role of the villainess/"heel", while the younger, demure Marlen, who tended to wrestle/fight more within the confines of the rules would take on the persona of the crowd favorite (heroine/"babyface"). Tanima began the match by painfully grabbing a handful of Marlen's long brunette hair and things only got rougher and more intense from there as each woman put forth her best effort to impose her will on her opponent. These two women have fought twice before, so there was already some history between them. This match only served to add "more fuel to the fire" of what I believe has become a very intense, personal on mat rivalry. The match is evenly fought with the result not determined until the closing moments of the contest. Judging by the exchange of taunts and insults after the conclusion of the bout, the issue between them is not yet settled and a rematch, perhaps a 20-minute match (to take place in the gymnasium) followed by a 10-minute penalty would be necessary before one of them can truly lay claim to being the better woman. The BTS clip at the conclusion of the video shows Marlen and Tanima on the mat, warming up before the bout. Dressing room footage has Tanima putting on her match attire while Edita (behind the camera for this video) mentions that they both have a birthday coming up on Sunday.
I'd like to see Marlen in future FD videos featuring a format similar to that of her bout with Jane (FD 5866 - wrestling with a 20-minute time limit followed by a 10-minute post-match penalty). Matchups might include,
Marlen vs. Kemala; vs. Bella; vs. Valina and in rematches vs. Jane; vs Lena; vs Tanima.
From time to time there is some discussion about doing some tag team bouts. I think an interesting match would see the team of Marlen and Valina vs. the experienced combination of Jane and Lena.
