Anastasia vs. Vera | FD2954

Faced with a far bigger and more experienced opponent, Vera is reduced to being little more than a punch-bag for Anastasia, who delivers on her promise to knock her out in the third round.

Vera fights like a lioness but Anastasia's huge physical advantages are way too much in this classic one-sided encounter. Vera gamely moves forward throughout the match, but the massive height difference means she has to absorb 3-4 big shots before even getting in range to throw one of her own. And on the very limited occasions where she does land, the almost 50 pound weight difference combined with the fact she has to punch so far up to reach Anastasia's head means her punches carry very little power and don't seem to have much effect on Anastasia at all. The result is that Anastasia can more or less unload on little Vera with impunity, and she does. Throughout the fight Anastasia doesn't really cover up at all and just unloads with punch after punch, knowing that tiny Vera is simply too small to hurt her back no matter how hard she tries. All credit to Vera for fighting with everything she has though and refusing to back down. I'd love to see them continue training and have a rematch down the road.

I admire Vera's spunk...but one knew that the larger. stronger more experienced Anastasia would find Vera's 'knockout button.

As has been said this is a mismatch, but assuming Vera wanted to fight she puts up a good battle. What is attractive to me about this match is the after-fight footage of the KO victim and her “recovery”. It’s what is missing from the 2nd Anastasia v. Andy fight where it would have been most welcome!

Anastasia can always use the boxing practice and get used to using her strength and her muscles as she has a dissavantage with her slow girlie punching method which generally causes her to take a heavy beating that she always manages to endure

What a mismatch! Of course it was not possible to expect a different result than this, with Vera unable to hit Anastasia because of the size difference. However, Vera fought like a tigress as usual and both ladies have amazing bodies. Very nice KO ending, exactly the way those boxing fights should end.
